Reheating depends on the ideal serving temperature, thickness of items to be reheated and method of reheating; and if the item is frozen or not.
If items are reheated at hotter temperatures (above 180F), meats will dry out and get tough. So it's important to be patient and plan ahead to have a great meal.
All it takes is just enough heat to get everything warm thoughout, it's already cooked.
Hot water transfers heat to the items more effectively than air (convection or conventional) in an oven, and safeguards against burning your meal.
We do not recommend microwaving our products.
Our black side dish containers are not microwave safe (they are oven safe without their lids!), please transfer to a microwave safe dish if you intend on microwaving sides.
Allow 1 to 2 days in the fridge to properly thaw depending on the weight of the product.
For a faster thaw with vacuum packaging, you can submerge in water in your sink or a container, and it will thaw in a few hours. You will know it is thawed sufficiently when it is not stiff or crunchy when you try to bend it.
You can also thaw the black containers quicker if you take off the plastic cover and place it in a sealed Zip-Lock and place it in water in your sink or a container.
If you are not planning on serving within a week, it should be placed directly in the freezer upon delivery.
All meats and hot sides should be at 141F degrees internal temperature or higher.
- Brisket, Turkey, Suasage, Pork and Ribs
- BBQ Beans, Hatch and Classic Mac and Cheese
- ***GARLIC MASHED POTATO *** We add extra veggie stock to these. As they reheat, they will absorb the stock and the cream cheese will melt and they will come together beautifully. Stir these as they heat.

Remove from packaging and place in oven-safe dish, and cover with aluminum foil.
For best results, we recommend adding liquid to the pan, either BBQ Sauce or Au Jus, to the meats.

Leave in vacuum packaging for reheating, and place in oven-safe dish. Submerge the package in hot water to promote even heating.

Leave in vacuum packaging for reheating
Heat a large pot of water to warm but not boiling and place sealed package in water
Allow to simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, until package is warm throughout. If it's slightly steaming and you can still dip your finger in the water, it's hot enough.
The meat is already cooked, and BBQ is supposed to be warm, not hot- so boiling it is not neccessary and will make it dry out and get tough.
Remove from water and packaging and plate for serving.
